  1. Perfect compact 1st build 5 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Feb 2015

So glad to have found this Mini Tricopter! Finally, something not too intimidating for people looking to get into a multi rotor build, extremely portable, tough, and well thought out.

Arrived so quickly and build quality was fantastic. This size should be perfect for keeping it in the car or transporting in a backpack. Really cool design for travel. Just loosen the bolts though the front 2 arms, and in front of them as well, fold the arms back, tighten the bolts back, and there you have it! Super simple portability.

I recommend buying some of the other components from simplecopter as well, that way there's no question of whether or not you're getting the right equipment that'll be best suited for this tricopter.

    Great work, Matt!

This is my 2nd Simplecopter build and what can I say other than WoW !!! The quality is the best ( nothing surprising there ) and everything just goes together nicely. I watched the build video a couple of times for placement but the rest was straight forward. Matt, You sir are a genius !!! I am eagerly waiting for my next build. !!!

  4. Best mutirotor ive ever flown (and ive flown alot) 5 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Oct 2014

I started with Tri's, but fell into the trap that more is better. Next thing you know, I flew quads with GPS, way points, big motors, rtf, homemade, kits. Yet I was never happy. All had something missing and like an idiot I never realized it. Finally I got fed up and was gonna build the original tri I started with but then saw this, so I figured ide give it a shot.

Lets get down to the simple facts. I built it to the exact specs he recommends in his video. Everything came from here or RC buddy. Im talking down to the zipties, sticky pads, and gyro tape.

This thing is a rocket. It out performs anything ive built. It drags around a 2200 like its nothing, yaws beautifully, and flips on a dime. Its also very tough. Ive flown alot so im not crashing like a newb, but we all like to do suicides so its gonna happen. Havent even replaced a prop yet. The amount of power it has makes me wonder how the vtail is even able to be controlled. Also the skids are tall enough to put a gopro on bottom if anyone is wondering.

If you are wondering if you should buy this or not, just click add to cart and thank me later.

  5. Great mini tricopter frame 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Sep 2014

This mini tricopter frame came fully assembled except for the landing gear. It looks to be well made and packaged carefully. Out of the box, this frame can be immediately used or disassembled for painting. The landing gear fits well with the size of the mini tricopter and provides enough room for larger (2200 mAh) batteries to be mounted below. If this is built with the ESCs and motors recommended in the build video, this has a LOT of power. Switching from a 5x3 prop miniquad to this one is a big difference! Because of the power, it is very responsive and the yaw is awesome and accurate. miniquads have a slight slide after the yaw input is stopped, but not this mini tricopter. The landing gear accepts paint well and looks good after it is painted. I recommend anyone with a mini quad give this mini tricopter a shot and decide for yourself which you prefer. The only downside to this frame is that the build video doesn't give recommended instructions on how to mount FPV gear. I can figure it out, but if I don't have to think, it makes things easier. :) I love this mini tricopter.
