10x5 use with 1400kv on 3 cell only or 980kv on 3 or 4 cell ( these are more efficient but not as snappy for aerobatics. They are very good in the wind)

High end (at least for me) sorry these are hard to get. I have made these very popular.
Sunnysky 2212 1400kv use 8x4.5 prop on 3 or 4 cell or 10x5 on 3 cell.

USA dealer when he has them http://www.buddyrc.com/sunnysky-x2212-9-1400kv-ii.html
Sunnysky 2212 980kv use 10x5 with 4 cell pack. These give 10 to 15% more flight time with slightly reduced power. They have enough power to fly on 3 cell but if loaded with fpv gear then use 4 cell.

As far as batteries go i like the hobbyking compact zippy.
And the Glacier batteries from Buddyrc
buddyrc.com
Buddyrc also caries the Icharger line of Chargers. I have had very good luck (meaning none of my batteries have caught fire like they did with 2 different hobbyking chargers)

I loved the videos on these copters. I am new to this hobby,I always fancied a helicopter back in the day..seeing as though I can’t balance an egg on a balloon yet it would proof very expensive. the tricopoter I purchased was so simple in construction I could afford to break it every time I take it out and have great fun in rebuilding it (my retirement project).
Although I can’t fly it yet it looks great somersaulting in its vivid colours! I know it’s the set up I’ve got wrong...But I will get there...
As a footnote the vat and customs I had to pay this end was more than the initial cost!!!

I am new to the quad, tri-copter world and started a 3.0 build and I couldn't be happier with everything I have purchased from Simplecopter. I emailed Matt with some questions and he had me call him direct and was the most helpful anyone has ever been to me as far as getting into a different area of r.c. !!! Shipping, products, customer service, videos all A++++ I am a customer for life!!

As a newbie in the Tricopter world I have bought everything on your site. Followed your instructions and build it easily! And the most importent thing: it flies very well! Thank You Matt!
One suggestion: give a link on your site to the KK2 instruction manual for more details about program settings. Thats also voor the newbies important stuff :-)
Great products and site!

I am a CC3D guy, this is a great frame, it reminds me of flying helis, the yaw authority is almost the same, and so much more fun then a quad. I will be building your vtail next which I bought at the same time of the tri 3.0. I still have some tuning to do but once I had the yaw responding correctly the rest was history. This is absolutely the best flight multirotor I have flown to date and that's with a great deal of tuning left to do. Thanks Matt for a great platform and I look forward to your future offerings.

These frames are very well made, and a great design. I also have the V-tail quad simplecopter, and it flies great. Lots of fun with both. The break away zip tie design has saved my electronics many times. Very fast shipping, and great customer service from Matt. I plane on buying more from him in the future. Thanks.
