This is our newest Flagship Tri. it is designed to house all flight components inside the body. the control board is recessed for its protection.
It has a slightly larger arm span due to the larger plates. as with all our frames it is designed to take abuse.
As for building help see the building the simple T copter video below. it is very similar to this new tri.
Frame comes as shown with arms, rear boom, rear block, fiberglass pivot, retainer Colet, Screws and blind nuts. Tricopter comes fully assembled for US customers. International orders the arms are removed for shipping.
This frame wil support up to 10" props
Frame weight is 5.6oz 158grams (Turnigy Talon weighs 350grams or 12.3oz. weight killss performance and flight time.
Arms are 12” in length
RCtimer 28-30 1300kv (lower quality)
HP2812-1300kv from rctimer (medium quality)
Sunnysky 2212 1400kv (best quality)
The high KV (1300-1400) of the motors and small props (8x4) rotate at tremendous speeds. Any vibrations generated will have a very high frequency which the GoPro won't detect. With the Frame being made of wood and ply wood, more vibrations are dampened, resulting in a jitter and rolling shutter free video. One shortcoming is the relatively short flight duration of around 7 minutes fully loaded with a 2200mah 4S LiPo.
Super simple 18-20 (3 cell only) good for starting out
Plush 30 (3 or 4 cell) very good
Flashed F30A (3 or 4 cell) best
Hobbyking KK2 board

I have had it for 2 weeks and I LOVE this! I have flown airplanes for years but this is my first copter. The video was a great help and I am VERY happy with it. The first week I crashed it 6 or 7 times cause I had the radio set to helicopter and couldn't get Self-Level to work. Now that I got it all working right it flies beautifully. In all those crashes I only broke a boom, so I epoxied it, and 2 propellers. VERY durable copter. Next I plan to add a camera and FPV.

I bought this to replace a slightly less expensive tricopter that was destroyed in its first crash. That one flew so poorly I just thought tricopters were no good. Then I saw the video of the 2.0 Tricopter and I had to have one. Now that I do, I love it! It flies great!! I was flipping it on my second battery :-). I had a minor crash, and the front boom folded back as designed - no damage. Most designs don't emphasize crash-ability, but I love that this one does. I love his thing!

This thing flys a lot better than my quads, now if I can just keep it out of trees. I cut one down w/Tri in the top no damage to tri but LCD on KK2 shot, but still works. BIG LACY

I was skeptical until a co-worker brought one in completely finished and setup with FPV. I was blown away and had to have one. Ordered from simplecopter.com, had it in 3 days time, and fully assembled within a week. Couldn't be happier with the purchase.

This is the best upgrade from Matt's version 1.0 which I've had for nearly 2 years now & still holding strong despite numerous crashes! Time for an upgrade & this frame is well thought out. A wider body with a streamlined design. The fact that I can now mount the FC, electronics, wiring inside the frame is greatly appealing to me for protecting electronics & a cleaner finished look. Frame quality & fast shipment is as always top notch. Thanks Matt!

When my son showed this to me I was skeptical to say the least all my quads an hexes are metal carbon g10 or a mix. He said dad watch the videos so I did and I was impressed no bull no outrageous promises just simple . We'll to let u kno I flew mine today in a 10x12 sunroom ( my wife wasn't home and it was raining ) what can I say, to clicks of right trim and it hovers like it's hanging from a string kudos for such a simplecopter that flies fantastic!!!

I have multiple quads. Flew a buddy's simple copter and had to have one. Haven't assembled it yet, still collecting the bits. But the beauty of just replacing a couple wire-ties or a $0.50 boom arm after crashes greatly appeals to me.
