Theae are sold by the foot.
they can be cut every 3 LED's inbetween the copper dots.
if you order more than 1 foot it will come to you uncut so if you order 3 units it will come in a 3 foot strip

These lights really do work great. I have them wrapped around all 3 arms of my mini tricopter (pink in the front, green in the back). I almost prefer to fly at night now because it is so easy to keep track of your orientation with these lights. I have not noticed a reduction in flight time because of the additional current the LEDs pull. It must be pretty insignificant compared to what the motors require. Be careful when soldering though; there are very small resistors placed fairly close to the contacts you must solder to to power the lights. I made the mistake of accidentally touching one of these resistors with my soldering iron and it detached immediately. It is very difficult to reattach one of these resistors with solder. Be careful tugging on the wire that provides power to the lights. If you pull too hard it can tear the contacts from the LED strip and you will not be able to solder them back on. I had this issue, so now I reinforced the connections by coating them in a thin layer of epoxy. I would purchase twice the length you need, just in case you make a mistake installing them. I did and I was glad I did it.
